Lauren Update VI

Lauren has been admitted to the Children’s Hospital at Duke University in Durham, NC and we are staying here with her right now. Quite a few doctors have been by to see her since her appointment earlier and they are going to do a repeat MRI, CT angiogram, and some other testing tomorrow to get a better imaging of the tumor. They are also waiting on the pathology information from MCG. Rebecca and I feel much better about how things are going here. MCG has been great, but the team of neurosurgeons here specialize in cranial tumors similar to Lauren’s and that has reassured us that much more, especially as it relates to infants. They do at this point agree with the 1 in 10 chances of baby’s with conditions like Lauren’s to reach their 1st Birthday’s so please keep praying. God is bigger then 1 in 10 and the more people that intercede for Lauren the better in my opinion. She will have quite the testimony 20+ years from now.

  1. I hope all goes well in Durham…

Something that may be of interest to you (that you may not know), the writer of the blog “Confessions of a CF Husband” (cfhusband.blogspot.com) has a daughter in the NICU at Duke. Maybe he could show you the ropes…

  2. I just prayed that she would indeed have an awesome testimony to share 20+ years from now, a testimony to the faith of her parents and the prayers of the Church. God bless.

  3. Thank you Brian and Bree.

Sorry if I don’t respond to everyone, traffic has gone up quite a bit but I am thankful and so is my wife for all the prayers for Lauren. It’s all we ask.

  4. Thanks for the updates, Dan. We’re praying for you guys!!
